At Giggles & Grins Pediatric Dentistry, many of the children we meet start visiting when they’re very young. Over the years we get to watch them grow into confident teens. And sometimes we even meet the next generation.
That’s one of the things we love most about what we do.

Dr. Amy Watts
“All pediatric dentists are not die-hard Texas Aggies. This one is.”
Dr. Amy Watts was born in Bryan, Texas and grew up just south of Fort Worth. There was never much doubt about where she would attend college, Texas A&M University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biomedical Science.
She went on to earn her dental degree magna cum laude from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, receiving numerous honors along the way, including the award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry and induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
Dr. Watts later completed her pediatric dentistry residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University, where she earned both her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and Master of Science in Dentistry. Her clinical research was published in the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry, one of the leading journals in the field.
She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a distinction that reflects advanced training and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care for children.
Outside the office, Dr. Watts enjoys spending time with her husband Dane and their children, Evan and Ava, traveling and embracing the outdoors.
Dr. Alexis Capeci
“Giggles and Grins is known for what the name implies. I just couldn’t imagine doing anything else. The kids always make me laugh! They always have reactions you’d never expect. It’s a lot of fun.”
Dr. Alexis Capeci grew up on the west side of Cincinnati, Ohio and knew early on that she wanted to work with children. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Dayton with a degree in Pre-Dentistry and minors in Spanish and English.
She then earned her dental degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where research, leadership opportunities, and volunteer work helped strengthen her passion for pediatric dentistry.
Like Dr. Watts, she completed her pediatric dentistry residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University, where she received extensive training in all aspects of pediatric dental care and earned her Master of Science degree for research related to pediatric dental trauma.
Dr. Capeci is passionate about creating a calm, welcoming environment where children feel safe and parents feel supported. When she’s not in the office, Dr. Capeci enjoys traveling, working out, and trying new foods.
Your child's first visit
A child’s first visit to the dentist can feel intimidating for kids and parents. At Giggle & Grins this is about more than checking teeth. It’s about helping them feel comfortable, building trust, and making sure both kids and parents feel confident moving forward.
A warm welcome
We like to have new patient forms completed ahead of time whenever possible, and we send them digitally to make things easier for families. That way, when you arrive, we can focus less on paperwork and more on getting to know your child.
Tailored to your child’s needs
For babies and children under 3, parents stay with them during the visit.
For older kids, we often invite them back to the clinic on their own for exams and x-rays. It's this small step that can help build independence and confidence in the dental chair.
A private conversation just for parents
After the exam, we meet with parents in a consultation room to talk through your child’s dental health, answer questions, and discuss next steps, protecting little ears from hearing words or worries that can make the dentist feel scary, because one of our biggest goals is keeping the dentist a happy, positive place for kids.
